Servicing Schedule
Carry out a PAT test to check for any electrical faults and repair, replace or advise customer if faults are expensive to rectify.
Check pipe work and connections for any fluid leakages and repair or replace as necessary.
Check seals and replace as necessary.
SOLUTION TANK.
Flush solution tank, check filter and clean or replace as necessary.
RECOVERY TANK.
Flush recovery tank and clean vacuum filter. If machine uses a ball float check for correct operation and adjust if necessary.
QUICK RELEASE CONNECTORS.
Check operation and lubricate or replace as necessary.
PUMP.
Check for correct operation and performance.
Diaphragm Pump.
Remove any build up of carbon dust within motor housing. Inspect and replace the internal components as necessary.
Piston Pump.
Check for build up of fluff. Replace pump if not providing enough solution.
VACUUM MOTORS
Remove any build up of carbon dust on armature and field coils. Check condition of armature and carbon brushes. Replace carbon brushes as necessary. If armature is well worn the motor will need to be replaced.
BRUSH (If fitted)
Remove any hair or carpet fibre from bristles. Check bearings and drive belt for wear and adjust belt tension if necessary.
BRUSH MOTOR (If Fitted)
Remove carbon dust from motor housing and check condition of carbon brushes.
WAND AND HAND TOOLS
Inspect carpet wand and hand tool for sharp edges or damage. Check spray jets for debris, correct alignment and spray pattern.
When all servicing is complete machine is PAT tested again.
